STEPANAKERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited Martakert Region on Friday to attend the final stage of command and staff exercises.

Defense minister Movses Hakobyan delivered a report summing up the maneuvers.

In his speech President Sahakyan underlined that maintaining proper level of the Defense Army’s combat readiness are among key directions of state-building process and everything would be done to further strengthen the Republic’s security system.

Head of the state held a working consultation in the Martakert regional center to discuss issues related to renovation of the town’s water supply system.

Minister of municipal engineering Karen Shahramanyan and heads of concerned structures delivered reports.

Bako Sahakyan mentioned that the work should be carried out thoroughly and within the time frame specified.
