YEREVAN. – The process of dismissing the pilots and the technical staff has begun at Armavia Airline Company—which is Armenia’s national carrier—for already close to a week, 168 Zham daily reports.

“The majority of the dismissed thirty pilots are preparing to emigrate. Some of them were able to sign long-term contracts with Aeroflot Russian Airlines and are preparing to leave Armenia with [their] families.

Armavia has not paid five months’ salary of the pilots being let go. Even though the company does not refuse [to pay] this debt, they do not indicate any period, either,” 168 Zham writes.
