YEREVAN. – The olice of Armenia will transfer 11 million drams (approx. $26,400) to the Fund for Assistance to Farmers Affected by Natural Disasters. 

The amount will be transferred to the respective bank account on the first work day after the holidays, Police Public Relations and Media Department Chief Ashot Aharonyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. He added that the fundraising is on voluntary basis. 

As Armenian News-NEWS.am informed earlier, Prime Minister and the members of the Government will transfer money to the Armavir Region farmers that suffered losses to their crops as a result of the recent hailstorm.

Pursuant to the agreement that was reached with the residents of the hail-hit villages, PM Tigran Sargsyan, all members of the Government of Armenia, heads of the Government agencies, and all regional governors will make allocations from their personal income to the Fund for Assistance to Farmers Affected by Natural Disasters.  

Everyone can transfer money to help the Armavir Region farmers that suffered losses to their crops as a result of the hailstorm that hit the area on May 12.
