YEREVAN. – The very critical speeches, which the MPs of the opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) bloc’s National Assembly (NA) faction made against the government’s program, cost very dear to this opposition, Zhoghovurd daily reports.

“Zhoghovurd learned that NA Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan decided to punish the ANC Faction by not including its MPs in the international parliamentary delegations, in the groups that head to business trips. 

The highly negative attitude toward the ANC Faction MPs is very noticeable because even though the ANC is the largest opposition faction [at the NA], its MPs hardly ever go on business trips. Instead, several people from the [ruling Republican Party] RPA Faction are included in the delegations,” Zhoghovurd writes.
