YEREVAN. – A call was received, on Saturday at 8:04am, informing that an accident had occurred, on Armenia’s Yerevan-Sevan Highway, and rescuers were needed. 

A fire and recue squad was dispatched to the scene, the Ministry of Emergency Situations Rescue Service informs. 

The Minister of Emergency Situations, Armen Yeritsyan, likewise was at the scene. The injured were hospitalized.

It was found out that a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter minibus and a VAZ 21 012-model vehicle had crashed, and the minibus had turned over.

The minibus driver, Ashot Rafyan, 51, and passengers Yelena Okhikyan and Haykanush Sahakyan were transferred to Abovyan City Hospital, where they received corresponding medical treatment and were discharged.

Six other injured were taken to capital city Yerevan’s Surb Grigor Lusavorich (Saint Gregory the Illuminator) Medical Center.
