YEREVAN. – Seventy men have already left for the Russian Federation (RF), to work abroad, after the May 12 hailstorm that hit Shenavan village of Armenia’s Armavir Region, Zhoghovurd writes.  

“[Also,] a three-member family left the village yesterday [Monday], and a five-member family will leave today.

Zhoghovurd learned from Shenavan prefect Artur Mkrthchyan that the Agriculture Ministry provided alfalfa, cucumber, tomato, corn, [and] sunflower seeds to the farmers.

‘People who did not know the location of RF have left for that country. They had always worked with the land. [But], now, they were compelled to go. They should have received income now, but [now they will have to] collect harvest in late fall. So, what should they eat until then?’ the prefect said,” Zhoghovurd writes.
