YEREVAN. – Armenian National Assembly (NA) Speaker Hovik Abrahamyan on Friday received Kuwaiti Ambassador Bassam Muhammad Al-Qabandi. 

The ambassador conveyed to Abrahamyan Kuwaiti National Assembly Speaker Ali Fahad Al-Rashid’s invitation to pay an official visit to Kuwait, the Armenian NA press service informs.  

The head of the Armenian parliament thanked for the invitation and assured that he will plan an official visit to Kuwait within the year. He expressed confidence that his trip will contribute to the development of relations between both countries. By way of the ambassador, Abrahamyan also conveyed his thanks and best wishes to the head of the Kuwaiti parliament. In his conviction, Ali Fahad Al-Rashid’s recent official visit to Armenia played an important role in the deepening of bilateral cooperation.        

In his turn, Ambassador Bassam Muhammad Al-Qabandi noted that the Kuwaiti NA speaker’s official trip to Armenia contributed to the deepening of relations between the two countries. The diplomat expressed a conviction that Abrahamyan’s visit to Kuwait likewise will be another important step in the development of Armenian-Kuwaiti political and economic ties. 

The interlocutors also underscored the growth of Armenian-Kuwaiti relations and the deepening of interparliamentary ties, and discussed other matters of mutual interest.
