YEREVAN. – Russia has never opposed Armenia’s work with the EU, former Russian Ambassador Vyacheslav Kovalenko said.
He noted that Armenia has been working with the EU for already two years to harmonize the quality of products produced in the country and the legislation.
“This is a good job, and no one cancels it. Russia will help to get high quality products if common standards are developed. Russia only welcomes this,” Kovalenko said during Yeravan-Moscow space bridge.
The former ambassador noted that Russia keeps its word, and with Russia’s help Armenia has been maintaining peace in the region for 20 years.
“Russia will keep its word on creation of the Eurasian Union and the common customs area,” he emphasized.
