STEPANAKERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan on Friday received the newly appointed US co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick.
President Sahakyan congratulated co-chair Warlick on assuming a new post and wished him success, Karabakh president’s press service reported.
Issues related to the Karabakh conflict were discussed during the meeting. The sides noted necessity of peaceful settlement of the conflict within the framework of the Minsk Group.
President Sahakyan noted that the greatest obstacle to the settlement is the destructive policy of official Baku, adding that it is becoming a much bigger threat to peace and stability in the region, and called on the Co-Chair to pay a special attention to this issue.
Foreign Minister Karen Mirzoyan and other officials participated in the meeting.
