YEREVAN. – Armenia is ready to continue cooperation with EU as much as it will not conflict with the decision to join the Customs Union, Armenian Foreign Minister said.
Addressing the participants of an informal meeting of the FMsof the Eastern Partnership member countries, Edward Nalbandian noted importance of informal dialogue, the format in which Armenia was building relations with EU.
“Today we will continue discussions on key international issues. With EU’s support, Armenia managed to carry out reforms aimed at strengthening of rule of law, protection of fundamental rights and freedoms, improvement of legislation and electoral processes. We thank EU for this support and expect continuation of reforms in the future,” Nalbandian said.
He stressed that Armenia is ready to continue closer collaboration with the Union, as much as it will not contradict the decision to join the Customs Union.
“We are ready to preserve the achievements and progress in relations with EU that have been reached within recent years,” he concluded.
