YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a delegation led by Bruno Balvanera, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Director for Caucasus, Moldova and Belarus. 

Balvanera introduced Mark Davis, new Head of the EBRD Yerevan Resident Office, in Armenia. 

Sargsyan congratulated Davis on his appointment, informs the Press Service of the Armenian Government.

“We underscore the cooperation between Armenia and the EBRD, and wish to deepen and expand bilateral collaboration,” he noted.

Considering the course of the joint programs as positive and productive, the interlocutors expressed satisfaction by the level of the cooperation between the Government of Armenia and the EBRD.   

Balvanera stated that Armenia has achieved great progress in terms of structural reforms, including the improvement of the business climate.  

The EBRD director for the region also congratulated the Armenian government for issuing Eurobonds.  

“This is an important achievement in the international capital markets environment, which will enable Armenia to attract more investments,” he said. 

Bruno Balvanera added that the EBRD stands ready to develop cooperation and implement new joint projects with Armenia.
