YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ambassador to Canada Armen Yeganian on Wednesday delivered a lecture at Laval University in Québec City.  

The ambassador delivered the presentation to mark the formation of the university’s Armenia Study Group, informs the Armenian MFA press service.  

Yeganian reflected on the most important chapters in the history of the Armenian nation, and spoke about Armenian-Canadian relations, international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, and Armenia’s relations with the International Organization of La Francophonie.      

In addition, the Armenian ambassador met separately with François Blais, Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences, and François-Pierre Cartolano, Head of the Armenia Study Group at Laval University.  

Along the lines of his trip to Québec City, Ambassador Yeganian also visited and laid a wreath to the monument to great Armenian musicologist Komitas.   

Armen Yeganian and the Armenia Study Group members discussed the avenues for cooperation between Laval University and the Armenian institutions of higher education.
