STEPANAKAERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan visited the village of Norshen in Martuni Region and participated in solemn ceremony dedicated to the renovated St. John the Baptist church, opening the village club and public house of celebrations.

President Sahakyan considered important the existence of spiritual and cultural structures in rural areas, calling them necessary components for the republic’s development.

Baku Sahakyan expressed gratitude to philanthropists who had supported implementation of the projects.

Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, National Assembly Speaker Ashot Ghoulyan, Premier Ara Haroutyunyan, other officials participated in the event.
