Belgian parliament unanimously voted for the ban on hijabs in public places. The draft law provides for the ban on any clothing that covers all or most part of the face.
The draft law was approved by all factions and will be introduced for plenary session of the parliament on April 22.
According to ITAR-TASS, observers in Belgium have no doubt about its adoption, thereby Belgium will be the first European country, prohibiting wearing of hijabs in public places, including streets, educational institutions, gyms etc.
