YEREVAN. – The Armenian Urban Development Ministry, led by Samvel Tadevosyan, spent nearly $2,000 to refurnish the ministry, Zhoghovurd daily reports.

“According to the documents which Zhoghovurd has found, the Urban Development Ministry paid 30,000 drams [approx. $74] for solely one chair, and 58,000 drams [approx. $143] for the head’s armchair. The cabinets of this ministry cost 170,000 [approx. $420] and 150,000 drams [approx. $370]. They have also bought desks and computer chairs.

“In actual fact, despite the dire socioeconomic situation in country, now the minister squanders public funds.

“To note, this minister is considered a huge businessman,” Zhoghovurd writes.
