YEREVAN. – Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, and Energy and Natural Resources Minister Armen Movsisyan on Sunday represented Armenia at the inauguration ceremony of President-elect Giorgi Margvelashvili of Georgia. 

Following the event, Margvelashvili received Nalbandian and Movsisyan, informs the Armenian MFA press service.

Edward Nalbandian conveyed to Georgia’s new president the congratulations by Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, and his invitation to Margvelashvili to visit Armenia. 

In turn Giorgi Margvelashvili expressed satisfaction with the high level of relations between Armenia and Georgia, and expressed confidence that these relations can be deepened further.  

The interlocutors discussed Armenian-Georgian relations, economic cooperation, next session of their intergovernmental committee, interparliamentary interaction, and Georgian Armenians.   

Margvelashvili asked to convey his warm well wishes to President Sargsyan.

On the same day, Edward Nalbandian and Armen Movsisyan also met with Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili. They reflected on the course of implementation of the agreements that were reached between the presidents of the two countries.

On Sunday morning, Armenian and Georgian FMs Edward Nalbandian and Maia Panjikidze held a private talk. They exchanged views with respect to the matters that are on the agenda of Armenian-Georgian relations.
