YEREVAN. – Artak Zakaryan, Chairman of the Armenian National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Relations, visited the Lithuanian Seimas (Parliament) on Wednesday.
In the Seimas, Zakaryan met with members of the Lithuania-Armenia Interparliamentary Cooperation Group, and the Friendship Group with the Nagorno Karabakh Republic.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the joint projects to deepen interparliamentary cooperation, and mutual visits, informs the Armenian MFA press service.
The parties also discussed bilateral, multilateral and regional matters.
In addition, an agreement was reached to hold regular talks between Armenian and Lithuanian MPs and to develop a work agenda.
At the request of the Seimas members, Zakaryan briefed them on the present-day situation in the pacific settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
He also responded to several queries concerning the foreign and domestic political developments regarding Armenia as well as Armenia-EU cooperation.
