YEREVAN. – The Armenian government encourages government-funded organizations to use credit cards, PM Tigran Sargsyan announced during the Thursday meeting.
The government adopted a decree regulating the circulation of budget funds through credit card bills.
“This will help expand non-cash turnover, to which we aspire, and increase simplifications of payments,” he assured.
As noted by the decision, state agencies can pay salaries by cards. But a number of decisions of the Cabinet are limiting the opportunity for a number of branches (travel expenses, air tickets , etc.). Appropriate procedure was developed to tackle the issue.
