BEIRUT. – Fortunately, the clashes in Tripoli, Lebanon, are not spread throughout the country.

Editor-in-Chief Shahan Kandaharian of Lebanon’s Aztag Armenian daily told the above-said to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Kandaharian reflected on Sunday’s deadly clashes between the pro- and anti-government factions of Lebanon.

As per the Lebanese-Armenian journalist, the situation in Tripoli is tense, but it is not extreme.

He recalled that there is a small Armenian community in Tripoli.

“We keep in touch with those in charge of the Armenian community [there], and they assured us that, fortunately, the community has not suffered human and material losses,” Shahan Kandaharian added.
