Sixteen people were detained on Azerbaijani-Russian border during the “Sarhad” (border) operation, Trend News reports, referring to Azerbaijani interior ministry’s press service.
Ten people put on the wanted list by Russian law enforcement agencies and 8 suspects were arrested.
The operation was aimed at arresting members of multinational criminal gangs and terrorist organizations.
