On April 23, at 8:00 p.m., a rally and traditional torchlight procession to Armenian Genocide Memorial (Tsitsernakaberd) will be held in Yerevan on the initiative of ARF Dashnaktsutyun.

The meeting starts from Mesrop Mashtots Institute of Ancient Manuscripts (Matenadaran). Every year, on April 23 Armenian youngsters walk to Tsitsernakaberd. Initiatial organizer of this action was ARFD’s Nikol Aghbalyan student union, however year by year the number of participants increased. After the procession the participants will burn Turkish flag.

“Join the procession, become a torch-bearer for the sake of Armenian nation’s rights, justice, recognition, recompense and victory. Each year torches symbolizing our fight, firmness and resoluteness are lighted, saying NO to any concessions. Torches that will unite fists of thousand youth at the Tsitsernakaberd eternal light,” the union statement reads.

The torchlight procession aims to show the world the consolidate power of Armenian nation in the international recognition of Armenian Genocide, ARFD leader Vahan Hovhannisyan told NEWS.am.
