The Nagorno-Karabakh conflict remains unresolved; Azerbaijan is running a militant policy by unleashing an arms race fed by petro dollars.   

Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan stated the aforesaid during his talk, in Washington D.C., with representatives of the American-Armenian community.     

In his words, Turkey, for its part, manifests an extremely biased approach toward the Karabakh conflict and continues to blockade Armenia.  

“All these factors force us to be flexible and circumspect in foreign policy. The Republic of Armenia is committed to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, but it also stands ready to duly counter an imposed war.

“Armenia-Artsakh [i.e., Nagorno-Karabakh]-Diaspora; this trinity is the sole guarantee of our success.

“If you can’t live in Armenia, you can live with Armenia, live with its successes, [and] be proud [of its] accomplishments,” the PM specifically said.

The premier also responded to numerous questions posed by those in attendance. 

And speaking about the forthcoming centenary of the Armenian Genocide, Abrahamyan specifically noted:

“We continue our consolidated activities toward the international recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide. The crime committed against the Armenian nation is a universal problem, and we consider the full recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide as the best way for genocide prevention.

“The Armenian authorities will spare no effort to restore historical justice. With a strong Armenia, we will bring the moment of the triumph of justice closer.”
