YEREVAN. – The Emergency Situations Minister of Armenia, Armen Yeritsyan, on Monday received a delegation from Belarus.

The delegation is in capital city Yerevan to attend Tuesday’s meeting of the CIS Interstate Council on Natural and Man-Made Emergencies. 

The parties discussed the agenda of the aforesaid meeting. 

In addition, Minister Yeritsyan briefed the guests on the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations’ (MES) services and their activities. In particular, he noted that today 60 percent of the residents’ emergency calls are made to the country’s 911 service. 

At the end of the talk, the Belarusian delegation toured the MES, and, specifically, they got familiarized with the activities of the Crisis Management Center.
