YEREVAN. – The most important thing today is occurring between Russia and the West, and Armenia’s fate also depends in this very much.

Caucasus Institute Director, political scientist Alexander Iskandaryan stated the above-said at a press conference on Wednesday.

In his words, if Russia-West relations develop into something like a Cold War, this will not have much of a favorable impact on Armenia.

Reflecting on Armenia’s foreign policy, Iskandaryan noted that the country’s Eurasian Economic Union accession process is still in progress.

On the other hand, as per the analyst, steps are taken to also continue cooperation with Europe.

“These are attempts to continue the traditional policy of complementarity with various global forces,” Alexander Iskandaryan concluded.
