YEREVAN. - Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan met on Thursday with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Armenia Giovanni Ricciulli and Italy’s Military Attaché, Major General Giovanni Armentani (residence in Moscow), Armenian News - NEWS.am reports.

According to the press service of Armenia’s MOD, Seyran Ohanyan stressed that close cooperation in the defense sphere between Armenia and Italy has advanced to a new level. The minister positively evaluated both the participation of Armenian forces in the peacekeeping mission in Lebanon under the Italian division and the direct military cooperation between two states.

During the meeting parties discussed issues related to further bilateral cooperation and the prospects of its further development.
