On Wednesday, Nalbandian met with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, Ambassadors Igor Popov (Russian Federation), James Warlick (United States) and Pierre Andrieu (France), and Ambassador Andrzej Kasprzyk, the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office.
The Armenian FM drew the intermediaries’ attention to Azerbaijan’s most recent and escalated belligerent rhetoric, its statements which distort the nature and content of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace talks, its flagrant and casualty-causing violations of the ceasefire, and the present-day situation on Azerbaijan’s border with Armenia and Line of Contact with the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) as a result of its shoot-down of an NKR Defense Army helicopter which was on a training flight, the Armenia MFA press service informed.
The meeting continued with discussions on the opportunities for pushing the Karabakh peace process forward.
Edward Nalbandian reaffirmed that Armenia will continue the joint efforts with the Co-Chairs to achieve solely a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
