YEREVAN. – As a result of reforms Armenia, as a member state of the Council of Europe, registered considerable progress in terms of democracy and human rights protection. This was noted during the meeting of Armenian PM Hovik Abrahamyan with the outgoing head of Council of Europe office in Armenia Oleksandr Pavlyuk.
The sides expressed satisfaction with the progress of cooperation between Armenia and the Council of Europe, in particular, on the results of the Action Plan for 2012-2014. It was mutually stressed that the programs envisaged in the Action Plan were successfully implemented. The parties also expressed their appreciation of Armenia's chairmanship in the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in May -November of 2013.
Speaking about priorities and prospects of cooperation, Hovik Abrahamyan and Oleksandr Pavlyuk exchanged views on Armenia-Council of Europe Action Plan for 2015-2017 which is at the stage of discussion.
