YEREVAN. – The authorities of Armenia need to realize that not taking into account the new youth organization, which is a new phenomenon in Armenian politics, means playing a marginal role.

Political analyst Arman Navasardyan noted the aforementioned at a press conference on Friday. He stated this while reflecting on the ongoing demonstrations at Baghramyan Avenue in capital city Yerevan, and against the recent decision to raise the price of electricity in the country.

In his words, what is now occurring in Armenia should be considered in light of the reality that exits worldwide.

“I mean the issues of globalization, integration movement that are occurring against the backdrop of the confrontation of the two blocs.

“A process of forming a new world order is underway, during which the foreign and domestic policies comes so close to each other—not solely in Armenia, but worldwide—that the wall between them disappears,” Navasardyan said, in particular.

The analyst added that, in this situation, totally new players appear.

“They are the most diverse non-governmental mechanisms and institutions,” said Arman Navasardyan. “One of the most important players is the media, which have a direct participation in this process.”
