YEREVAN. – The most recent terrorist attacks in Egypt as well as the warnings by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia have not affected Armenian tourists, and they continue to travel there to spend their summer vacation. 

Armenian News-NEWS.am spoke with several travel agencies in Armenia to find out respective details.  

One travel agency said there are no problems in the resort areas of Egypt. They informed that some people that had purchased travel packages had asked whether it is safe to go to Egypt, and they were assured that there are no problems.

Another travel agency informed that they had telephoned and asked about the situation, and they were told that there is no alarm and concern. Overall, there is no panic in the resort areas of Egypt. 

Two other travel agencies also had contacted their holidaymakers in Egypt, and they were told that they had no problems. “People continue to leave [for Egypt],” they added.

Another travel agency, however, informed that they do not have any clients on holiday in Egypt. They added that, due to recent events, they have discontinued their holiday packages to Egypt.
