YEREVAN. – If Samvel Karapetyan conducts activities in Russia and he is accepted in that country, it means he is a proper man; and if he comes to Armenia, his inherent virtue and logic will be invested here.

Economist Vardan Bostanjyan stated the above-said at a press conference on Wednesday. He noted this commenting on the rumors that Russia-based Armenian businessman Samvel Karapetyan plans to purchase the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) CJSC.

Bostanjyan added that this is not a bad plan.

“But the ENA is in a terrible disrepair; the company needs to be modernized, whereas huge funds are needed for that. And it’s not nice to put all this upon Samvel Karapetyan.

“We are bringing a man with such a psychology to such a terrible domain. He may be forced to come [to Armenia], but after that, God forbid, the company may be destroyed,” concluded the economist.
