YEREVAN. – On July 5, a bus, which belongs to the company that operates the Gyumri-Krashen public transport route, had proceeded from Krashen village to Gyumri city, reported the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

The brakes of the vehicle, however, had failed while it was still moving in the aforesaid village.

Subsequently, passenger Julieta Iskandaryan had jumped out from the open front door of the bus while it was still in motion, and she had fallen on the asphalt ground.

The woman had died en route to hospital, and due to the physical injuries she had sustained after the fall.

A criminal case is opened on charges of violation of road traffic and vehicle operation rules.

An investigation is underway.

Measures are taken to ensure a comprehensive and complete examination of the case.
