STEPANAKERT. – President of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR; Artsakh), Bako Sahakyan, on Wednesday visited the Parliament of Great Britain and delivered an address.
In his remarks, the President touched upon the process of state-building in Artsakh, its socioeconomic development and the avenues for the settlement of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani, and responded to the questions posed by those in attendance, reported the Central Information Department of the Office of the NKR President.
Sahakyan highlighted that Artsakh has a special disposition towards the United Kingdom considering it an influential state, and a cradle of democracy and European civilization.
The NKR President noted that Artsakh is interested in developing relations with Great Britain, especially in deepening parliamentarian relations, and cementing ties in the scientific, educational and humanitarian domains.
According to Bako Sahakyan, such optimism is above all based on the existence of sincere and devoted friends of Artsakh in the British parliament.
