Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said Moscow is following situation in Armenia closely .

“We are following closely what is happening in Armenia because your are our neighbor, ally, and a close country and we, of course, are not indifferent toward developments  in a friendly country,” he said during a meeting with his Armenian counterpart Hovik Abrahamyan.

The wave of protests broke out in Armenia’s capital Yerevan following the decision to increase electricity prices.
