YEREVAN. – A person accused of a murder attempt on Syunik Governor Surik Khachatryan has filed for confrontation, his lawyer told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Vahan Hovhannisyan, the lawyer of Garen Atadjanyan, said they requested confrontation with those who testified against his client. National Security Service has not responded to a complaint. They also addressed the police to ensure security of Atadjanyan's family.

As reported earlier, four citizens have been detained within a criminal case over a murder attempt on Syunik Governor Surik Khachatryan. The law enforcement agencies said they are searching for a man, who is probably 55 years old. Armenia’s Syunik region governor Surik Khachatryan’s car was fired on the Goris-Kapan road in May.
