South Africa has sold ammunition worth around $508,000 to Azerbaijan.

The National Conventional Arms Control Committee (NCACC) reported about arms sales for the period between January and March, iol.co.za website reported.

At the same time the article recalled that Azerbaijan is a country involved in a conflict and several soldiers from both sides were killed this year.

In addition to Azerbaijan, South Africa has sold weapons to various countries, including those battling Islamic State militants in the Middle East and Africa.
