YEREVAN. - During the consultation held in Armenia’s Ministry of Defense, the results of the activity of the 5th annual military unit over one year were summed up.

Major General Ishkhan Matevosyan presented the results of the events, pointing out to the identified gaps, Armenia’s Ministry of Defense press service reports. Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and Lieutenant General Yuri Khachaturov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, were present during the presentation of the report.  

According to Matevosyan, during the reporting period 79 surprise inspections, as well as work on the preparation of the armed forces personnel, enhancement of engineering and technical facilities and improvement of the service conditions were carried out.

Matevosyan said derelictions, accidents and incidents have reduced by 50 per cent.

Considering the results of the session, the Defense Minister gave a number of instructions and orders.
