YEREVAN. – An Armenia woman that was injured by her husband hours after giving birth is recovering, head of the medical center said.

The woman is at intensive care department, but her condition is improving, Razmik Abrahamyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am. The health condition of a newborn girl has also improved.

A tragic event occurred on June 30 at the Republican Institute of Reproductive Health, Perinatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology. A man had come to the hospital, shot his wife hours after she gave birth, and then committed suicide.
