YEREVAN. – Armenia and France are united by friendly and sincere relations, French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-François Charlespentier told reporters.

The diplomat pointed to three key events in Armenia-France relationship since the beginning of this year. The first is the visit of President Francois Hollande to Yerevan for the events marking centennial of the Armenian Genocide. The second is a major conference dedicated to the Bologna process that was held in Yerevan with France being the next country to host the event. And thirdly, the visit of Armenian PM Hovik Abrahamyan to Paris where he met with his French counterpart, speaker of the National Assembly and Mayor of Paris.

Armenia and France have a full agenda: two major events are expected by the end of this year. The ministerial conference of the International Organization of La Francophonie members which will take place in mid-October in Yerevan and the second Armenian-French economic forum in Paris in mid-November. Forum will bring together entrepreneurs of the two countries to identify priority areas of cooperation.
