YEREVAN. – Armenia needs feed-in tariffs for the accumulation of electricity.

“For Sustainable Human Development” NGO Director, environmentalist Karine Danielyan, stated the aforesaid at a press conference on Monday.

“This will help develop the capacity of renewable energy, including solar and wind,” said Danielyan. “This is a road that all developed countries have taken.”

In her words, Armenia needs to buy guaranteed electricity from environmental (solar, wind, and biomass) producers, and ensure a tariff that takes their expenses and cost price of energy into account.
