The mayor of Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, Taron Margaryan visited in Marseilles, France, the memorial that eternalizes the victims of the Armenian Genocide.

Margaryan, together with the Yerevan delegation members, paid tribute to the memory of innocent victims of this tragedy. 

French National Assembly member Valérie Boyer, who was accompanying the mayor of Yerevan, noted that this memorial stands out not solely as an architectural structure, but it has a special meaning as an historical guide for all residents of Marseilles.

Taron Margaryan was also shown the memorial stone, which was placed this year near the memorial, and which is a special sign of respect toward Armenian mothers that have survived the genocide, and their descendants, and in memory of the Armenian women who died in 1915.

The mayor of Yerevan also interacted with representatives of the local Armenian community. Margaryan assured them that Yerevan-Marseille correlations will continue to strengthen.
