YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, on Tuesday visited the Embassy of France in Yerevan, and on the occasion of the Bastille Day, the French National Day.

Sargsyan congratulated French Ambassador Jean-François Charpentier, the embassy staff, and the people of France on this occasion.

The President of Armenia also extended a congratulatory message to his French counterpart, François Hollande.

“I express satisfaction in connection with the high-level political discourse between Armenia and France.

“Your attendance to the Armenian Genocide 100th anniversary commemoration, which was held on April 24 in Yerevan, is greatly appreciated.

“Armenia greatly underscores France’s engagement in the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process, and highly praises the [OSCE Minsk Group] co-chairs’ consistent efforts for the benefit of peace and stability in our region.

“I am convinced that, with joint efforts, we will continue to strengthen and deepen the ties uniting Armenia and France,” specifically reads the message of congratulations by the President of Armenia.
