Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Antalya, Turkey, Levent Aydın, has extremely infuriated Ukrainians when attending a football transfer signing ceremony by wearing a t-shirt depicting Russian President Vladimir Putin, reported Milliyet daily of Turkey.

Following this incident, Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin announced that Aydın has been relieved of his duties.

The Ukrainian FM stressed that even though Levent Aydın has helped numerous Ukrainians, this is a matter of principle, and therefore it was decided that he be dismissed as Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Antalya.
