YEREVAN. – The border situation is under control, and the number of shots being fired has reduced considerably. The Minister of Defense of Armenia, Seyran Ohanyan, told the aforementioned to reporters on Thursday.
“The commanders of all military units of the Armed Forces are doing everything, [together] with their subordinates, that the situation does not exacerbate, and the ceasefire regime is maintained,” said Ohanyan.
In the minister’s words, owing to the smart actions by the staff of the Armed Forces, military service has become safer today, and it is performed in a more intelligent manner.
“Our boys on the Line of Contact are resolute. Occasionally, there are shots fired,” added Ohanyan. “If they are targeted, they receive an adequate response. Otherwise, no.”
The press service of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Ministry of Defense on Wednesday reported that the training flights by the Azerbaijan air force—and which are conducted at 10 to 15 km from the frontline—have intensified again in recent times.
