YEREVAN. – Armenia is not prepared to make a transition to parliamentary government system, ruling Republican Party of Armenia MP Lernik Aleksanyan said speaking about constitutional reform.
“I think it's early for our country to make a transition to parliamentary government system. We still have a way to go. Our challenge is to consolidate the people, to convince them, to explain what the essence of amended Constitution is,” he said.
The commission dealing with the preparation of the constitutional amendments on Wednesday published 1-7 chapters of the draft Constitution as a result of discussions with experts from the Venice Commission.
