Police of Billerica, Massachusetts, say a Boston-area travel agent allegedly deprived a local woman of nearly $5,000 in plane tickets, while the state Attorney General's Office investigates complaints from across the country against the agent, the local newspaper Lowell Sun reports.

Julia Grigoryan, 36, was scheduled for a hearing on a charge of larceny over $250, in Lowell District Court this week, but the case was extended until Aug. 14.

Defense attorney David O'Mahony said Grigoryan is reportedly under investigation by the state Attorney General's Office, but no charges have been filed yet.

The investigation reported last year that over 50 of Grigoryan's customers from across the country allege they paid her tens of thousands of dollars for plane tickets, but later found out there were no tickets and no refunds. Many of the alleged victims are members of the Russian and Armenian communities.
