YEREVAN. – The facts, and not the pompous statements, are the criterion for the combat-readiness of an army, stated military analyst Arkadi Grigoryan.

Grigoryan noted the aforesaid commenting, at the request of Armenian News-NEWS.am, on the recent statements by Azerbaijan Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov.

As per the military analyst, this Azerbaijani official has found no evidence but his president’s pledge that they “will not leave a stone in Armenia in one week,” to “prove” the combat-readiness of the Azerbaijan army.

“Combat-readiness is not confirmed in words but in deeds, not in the number of arms but in the ability to use them, [and] not in the amount of the [military] budget but in its right distribution,” stressed Grigoryan.
