YEREVAN. – Armenia is hopeful that talks on new Armenia-EU document will start soon, President Serzh Sargsyan said.
“We have noted with satisfaction that a differentiated approach to the mutually beneficial cooperation with six countries of the Eastern Partnership was displayed during the Riga summit. We hope for an early start of negotiations on a new document, which will open a new chapter in our relations,” Sargsyan said during his joint press conference with European Council president Donald Tusk.
Armenia is interested in further development of relations and long-term constructive dialogue with the European Union, one of its most important partners.
“There is a political will and system of values on which we are building our approaches,” President resumed, noting importance of working with EU structures.
