STEPANAKERT. - Joint meeting between the Karabakh commission on the issues of captives, hostages and missing persons, as well as Karabakh and Armenian working groups took place in Stepanakert today. The meeting was chaired by Karabakh Commission Head Victoria Kocharyan and Armenia’s Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan.

Thomas Hallier, Head of the ICRC Mission in Nagorno Karabakh also attended the meeting.

The meeting covered issue related to the search of possible burial places of missing persons, exhumation, comparison of  criminal procedure actions and taking of biological samples from the families of missing persons.    

The importance of cooperation with ICRC in these issues was mentioned. Mr. Hallier highly appreciated the level of cooperation.

By the end of the meeting, the participants discussed a wide scope of issues related to the further actions and joint programs.
