YEREVAN. – Affordable leasing in the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) will help Armenia’s economy.

Director of the Industrial Policy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC)—which is the executive body of the EEU—, Vladimir Maltsev, stated the aforementioned at Tuesday’s meeting with several businessmen, and at the Ministry of Economy of Armenia.

Accordingly, a long-term leasing—for up to fifteen years—will be offered under affordable terms, and with assistance by the Eurasian Development Bank.

“It will be provided also for raw material supply for processing in the EEU countries,” added Maltsev. “It will also help Armenia’s industry.”

On the other hand, the money, which is envisioned for development projects in the EEU countries, will be targeted.

“We aim to economize on development projects’ amount by distributing them with national ‘apartments,’” concluded the EEC official. “On the other hand, there will be general money for economic projects, and which a country would not be able to collect on its own.”
