The Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) states will sign a new agreement on the protection of economic competition by 2017, Vladmir Maltsev, Director of the Eurasian Economic Commission's Industrial Policy Department, told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

The agreement will regulate the limits of industrial subsidies.

What kind of subsidies to provide and where to direct them - this, as before, completely remains the prerogative of national authorities. The Eurasian Economic Commission will only watch that the subsidies aren’t prohibited and do not violate competition. “The issue, difficult as it is, will be included in the Agreement, the preparatory work on which is underway,” Maltsev said.
